Joyeux Mardi Gras!

Down here in Louisiana is Mardi Gras. And I have to work. Chocka blocka people flock to New Orleans but almost everyone I know has been over it, I guess. it seems to me that Mardi Gras is basically for tourists.

I celebrate this day by wearing these festive Jean Paul Gaultier wedges!
They're fabulous. Party on my feet!

Kiss Kiss Fall in Love!

Photobucket

Ralph Lauren Cardigan, embroidered dress, silver heart printed stockings and aptly named Qupid shoes

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I know there a good many people who would scoff at this day, spewing tirades about not giving into the whole commercialism of it, everyday should be Valentine's Day blah blah...But it's just one day in a year and as one gets into the grind of the everyday mundane, for some people Valentine's Day helps them remind of the Loves they have in their lives. Thankfully, my husband and I don't need a Valentine's Day to dote on each other but still we celebrate this day. He gave me a dozen roses ^_^ and I forgot to make his coffee. I didn't even get him anything but the day is young...

I hope everyone has a beautiful Valentines or well, a Tuesday.

Preppy in Pink

Photobucket

The sweater I'm wearing is from Missoni for Target, yup the collection that broke Target's website. I opted not to get the ubiquitous Missoni chevron pattern and got the graphic rose instead. Pretty! The skirt I got from a boutique in Cebu called Artwork. I picked that dollhouse from the side of the road...a yard sale that was on the side of the highway, really.

I got these lovely chunky pink blocking shoes from People Are People in Cebu. It's a perfect match for this sweater. The cat ring looks preppy to me, like a preppy university badge. Finishing touch are my nerdy glasses :-) Frockin on further!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow Shoes

So these babies came in last week! They're called Chica Chola by Irregular Choice

They came in this lovely box! This is one shoe box I am not parting with.

Now why did they have to print the soles?!? It's a standing dilemma for me. I haven't worn them yet because I don't want to mess up the soles. Eventually, the novelty will wear off and then I can finally wear them but for now, I'll just gaze lovingly at them.

The Haul

Finally back to the blogging business :-) I've been in absentia for a good bit. Sometimes laziness gets the best of me. I went on a month long vacation to the Philippines with husband and it also took me awhile to get all the stuff I brought back organized. I have flooded my facebook with photos of our jaunts with my beloved family and friends so I'm not going to be doing any of that here. Instead I'll post something more relevant to predominant topics. So here it is...

Gotta love Cebu's thrift stores (ukay-ukay). It's nothing but trendy clothes from Japan and Korea. Most of them deadstock items that still have tags. Some here are brand new that I have bought from boutiques though. I'll just leave you guessing which is which ;-)

Yup, that's a Fendi pair of pants!

I found a lot of shoes I wanted to buy but the prices weren't as good as I thought they'd be. They were "no name" brand shoes that cost as much as a pair of Jeffrey Campbells so I strayed away from them. I did however, found these adorable shoes from a boutique called People Are People. Since I couldn't decide on what color to buy, I bought two of each. In that way, no regrets.
