I don't think I will ever outgrow flowery embroidered clothes. There's a folkloric charm about it and since I live in my own folklore, I gotta dress for it. This particular top makes me long for that gypsy caravan I've been begging for Thad to make me but he's always so busy trying to rebuild C.H.O.M.P.S. his robotic dog from childhood. Oh, and that photo is a relic from the future.

Same excuse I had for Monday's post absentia, too damn busy. The smock looks like a romper from here. I've probably worn this smock 5 times since I bought it last year. It's my to go for shirt when I feel bloated. It disguises the gut. Haha. I think. I know it's getting warmer but I still have my trusty cardis on because it is cold in my office. Alrighty, late Tuesday post, frock on!

Camera Non-Obscura

So the Lumix/Leica camera came in. Right now, Thad is treating it like he's married to it. Put a wig on it and they're in business :-P Photo was taken by Thad and his new inanimate wife. This is a part of our backyard and there's my struggling flower bed in the back. My shirt is made of some lacey fabric which if it hadn't been for the knitted military vest, I'd be showcasing my underwear. I've worn the striped pants before. It's got that circus look to it. I really wanted to wear my band jacket and go out as a Ringmaster but my menagerie is not allowed at my workplace anymore.

Really excited about this camera, once I figure out how to work it, I won't get looks from Tabitha anymore. She'll be regarding me like I'm a goddess of photography. Just wait and see, Tab...

This camera makes me look really short here...wait this IS the actual height setting. :-P One thing's for sure, I look 10 lbs. lighter here. I love this camera. It's such a liar.

P.S. I'm still on my Camera Obscura (the band from Glasgow) kick...

An Art Deco Kind of Day

Max Studio Dress $39. Mossimo Cardi $14. Frye Boots

Thad bought me that dress. The pattern is woven on the fabric and has some sort of art deco feel to it. Note the stylized dandelion. It was Thad who pointed that out. I was so proud of him for noticing that since art and art periods are not really his field. Imagine how proud he would be of me if I start saying things like: "Ma'am, a KDEmod already includes split packages so you don't have to do a full blown KDE installation..." and some more penguin talk...

Finally got to do yard work yesterday...and hoped to God I wouldn't pull out a snake like my gurl friend, Gaynell did that last time she came over to help me out. Her scream pierced the entire neighborhood's eardrums. Sorry M.E.G...

Still don't know which of my poor dear plants survived that darn freeze. I hope they all come back...Warm weather get here already!!!

Plaid and Happy

I wish Frye Boots were frugal priced so that I can buy all the styles and colors and wear nothing but. But sadly, as with any good quality products, you have to pay a little bit more for them. Thad bought me my first pair of Fryes for Christmas last year because I can't bear to pay $$$ for a pair of shoes for myself. I bought my second one which are vintage but as cool as they look, I just never took to them. Vintage pairs fetch as much as new ones and sometimes even more but thankfully I bought mine cheaper-ish. I'm trying to get rid of them though. Let me know if you're a 5.5 and interested. It's yours for $50. That's how much I paid for them.

I'm lovin' the lacey bib applique on this top. The shirt is made of gauzy-like fabric that's three layers thick. It's crinkly but so soft and comfortable. Can't go wrong with layered necklaces just refrain from doing it the Mr. T way.
